Well where to start? So we are currently all under a stay at home order which has shifted learning and classes to online. I know that it is best at the moment but I can’t help to think about all those families and students who unfortunately don’t have the same access to these changes in education. However, I am grateful that I am able to access and keep in communication with all my teachers at this time. At first to be honest I used the extra vacation time to relax from school stress and also sleep. Then I started to work on capstone which was so much fun and also kept me outside for most part of the day. Then we began to do online classes which honestly is proving to be more difficult for organizing then physical class. I think it’s because many teachers use different platforms and sites. I know that with time I’ll get used to it. And then comes at times thoughts on how my senior year was ended too quickly. I think about my prom, my graduation, my capstone, my classes, my friends, etc. But I believe everything happens for a reason. And my mom says that when something bad happens it means that something good will follow it. So hope everyone is not being ignorant and is staying at home for those who could be sick and also for all the health professionals who are risking their life for us. Just think positively and we will get through it together.

In this picture I used various emojis to essentially show how the rain or water will hunt the flowers that are growing in the ground. The water can be waves or the rain that will flood the garden of flowers. The water is shown as a snake or monster to highlight the severity of the strong water. There is also some raindrops that will make a rainbow appear. The rain will also make the leaves fall from the tree. As you can see some of the leaves are more old so they are brown. This is just a fun image created with emojis but it can have a greater meaning if you look closely. The hidden meaning is that something bad is occurring, for example the rain drowning the flowers. And at the same time something beautiful like a rainbow appears to make things a bit better. There is always light where there is darkness. Or there is always darkness where there is light.

• Would you rather always be sleepy or always be hungry? I would pick hungry because then I can just eat a lot. I wouldn’t want to groggy all the time from being sleepy it would rid me of energy.
• Would you rather smell like a skunk or oink like a pig? Oink like a pig because I wouldn’t stand the bad odor of a skunk.
• Would you rather be allowed to wash your hair only once a year or be forced to wear wet socks for the rest of your life? Wash my hair once a year because the water would ruin many of my shoes. Unless I don’t wear shoes that need socks with them.
• Would you rather never use you phone again or never use social media again? Never use social media because there are other things you can do in a phone.
• Would you rather get stung by a jellyfish or step on a sea urchin? Get stung by a jellyfish because my feet would be weak and in a lot of pain.
• Would you rather change gender every time you sneeze or not be able to tell the difference between a baby and a muffin? Change gender because I like babies and I would like to see their cute faces and be able to carry them.

I have had many goals in my life but not all have been accomplished. One of my goals was to obviously graduate from high school. Now almost the end of my high school years, I know that I will accomplish that goal. However, I fear the future a little because there is uncertainty of where my future takes me. I know that my goal is to successfully graduate from a four year program in nursing and move up from there. But I also know that nothing is ensured in life and so obstacles might arise. One thing is for sure though and that is that I will work hard to make my career prosper and end up in a right path. I know that I will make anything possible with my determination and drive. Yes my future is unpredictable but I will make the best out of it.

I remember using a wood burning pen once before this occasion which was when we helped our aunt wood burn some decorations for our cousins 15^th birthday. It was a fun new experience but also very painful as I did get burned several times accidentally. Being aware of this tool made my sister and I want to incorporate the method into our capstone project. The capstone project in a nutshell is a western-style desk. The desk will include different designs that are western themed around various parts of the desk. I will admit that our starting practices looked very funky and imperfect. However, we hope to improve over time eventually being close to perfect for the final product that will be presented to judges on April. And I know that I will not get bored during this process because I chose to do something I like which is art. I am considering purchasing one on my own in the future (since the one we are currently using is our teacher’s) because I believe it would make a great hobby. There are endless designs that someone can do, and I want to be experienced to where I can make challenging art with a wood burning pen.
